From the Leave a Nest has been excavated and training in the 10 countries that this year activities, and gathered a selection of technology-based startup companies. Only, it is the country and and local specific potential challenges difficult to notice is in Japan, for its own technology seeds and business in order to solve it, each will make the presentation. There, large companies, research who is a participant, the town factory, by further fusion of the knowledge of investors, heading an ultra different fields way of thinking, and the purpose of carrying out the knowledge production.

How are we living with chaos of new business creation? Can we tame the chaos? Accelerators around the world will discuss kinds of places necessary for the time to come.

Cellular agriculture is the production of agricultural products from cell cultures. One of the most notable cellular agriculture products is clean meat, made or “grown” by culturing animal muscle cells. Clean meat is regarded as one of the solutions to the pressing global food problem.

This conference marks the first in East Asia on the field of cellular agriculture.

One of the keynote speakers is Ms. Erin Kim, the Communications Director at New Harvest. New Harvest is also known for coining the term “cellular agriculture”. Other speakers include a leading figure in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, Prof. Shimizu, the head of TWIns lab, and Prof. Obata from Tokyo University of Agriculture, a prominent researcher in agricultural life sciences holding multiple internationally recognized awards.

Leave a Nest has selected a unique group of startups active in the real-Tech* area. They will present about their businesses during HIC. In this session, we welcome Dr. Iriyama from Waseda University, who are the pioneer of management theory, to discuss the future of organization using advanced communication technology and knowledge from social science.

At HIC, Leave a Nest Education Research Laboratory will present discussion about how to stay being a “weirdo” in this society. Why we tend to become less different from each other as we grow up? Why grown ups are less creative and intuitive? How can we stay “strange” as professional? We will discuss these questions with anthropological, educational and brain science approaches.
